Daisies for Thursday Show and Tell

I wish I could say this is my work...

Once again, it is one of my lucky finds in a re-sale shop. Would you believe $6.00?

Daisies are often depicted in Medieval meadow paintings, known as "flowery mead". Can you see, in this design, the natural flow of the flowers growing in a meadow?

Not only is the crewel embroidery beautiful, but the 16" x 16" frame is very unusual. It is real wood with carved designs on all four sides.

I love daisies....embroidered or growing in my garden.

  4. Daisies were one of Kelly's favorite flowers and this post brought back so many memories. When she graduated from college, she asked me to decorate her mortar board with them. Love your find and your garden:-D XOXO

  6. I love daisies and I love yours too. They are such a simple, refreshing flower. The daisy/marguerite is the flower of an organization that I belong too. The picture is very nice and what a find at $6.00!!!
