Vintage Tractor Flying Low....for Monday's Country Back Roads

I kid you not.....
it's a tractor perched on two posts.
But, don't let it over-shadow the metal barn in the background.
Click on the photo to appreciate.

Life on the Prairie
is full of wonder and surprises.

Holding On...for Monday's Country Back Roads

It's anyone's guess....

why complete lengths of wood are missing.

Red Barn High on a Hill.... for Monday's Country Back Roads

With large acreage farms and ranches, here on the prairie of Texas,
it is not easy to find a barn close enough to photograph.

Monday's weather is proving to be perfect
for capturing country scenes like this.

January is flying by.....
Enjoy your week.

Old Barn Nestled in the Shade of Trees....for Country Back Roads

I decided to heed the warning on the weathered sign
"Private Property"

Gathering Strength From Each Other..... for Monday's Country Back Roads

This is not the first time,
my camera has captured these two old barns.

They speak out to me.
 So much so,
that I cannot pass by them without a quick look.

You do the math....driving by once a week,
 for more than 15 years.

True friends
holding each other up, as the years pass by.

Monday, on the Prairie, started with storms and 14 inches of rain.
The sun is now shining...
Enjoy your week !

Ride Along with Me on Monday's Country Back Roads

The roads I enjoy the most are the narrow ones....
 without a marked center line.

Camera beside me...
All I need to do is pick a spot
and park my truck.

Off in the far distance, I can see where oil is being drilled.

Zooming in...I see a metal barn, nestled in the trees.

I do love to catch the background in layers.
See how the colors change
until they are almost the color of the sky.

Off to my left, I see what might have been a small home, built a very long time ago.

It appears to be boarded up....possibly now being used as a barn.

A new week is before us.
Make the most of it, dear readers.

Monday's Country Back Roads

Texas.....The Lone Star State

The symbolism of the Texas State Flag colors: blue stands for loyalty, white for purity, and red for bravery.
