I Would Like You to Meet Shep

Not exactly an original name for a White German Shepherd. I learned, early in his life, he had a injury to one ear.

Do you see the gentle nature in his face?

I met him a few months ago while purchasing the new landscape stones for my garden.

He was right there, watching the owner and me load up the stones on the truck.

Click HERE to read another story about a dog named Shep.

The real story here is the love they share with each other.
The lucky two have been companions for over 12 years.

  6. He does have a sweet face. My son has a yellow lab who is very sweet, but protective. We live on a busy highway, and animals don't last too long who wander around. A beagle puppy has been roaming around lately. I sure hope he stays home and not on the road!

  9. I totally get the love that man has for his dog - and the love and loyalty Shep has towards him. I had that with Bridger, my German Shepherd, for 12+ years until he died in May. There's nothing like the loyalty and love these wonderful companion animals give us.

Thanks for telling us about Shep.

  13. Wonderful post...yes, to seeing the gentle nature. the link to the other Shep was good...made me wonder if you have seen the movie Hachi, A Dog's Tale. Very much in the nature of the other Shep, and a true story. If you like dogs or have ever had a special dog, you will love it.
