Beauty in the Simple Things...for Friday Fences

Although the temperatures are quickly warming
 on the Blackland Prairie,
the hills are still covered with Spring flowers.

The Texas Paintbrush appears like a carpet,
covering entire hills and roadsides.

Nestled among the native grasses, our state flower,
The Blue Bonnet, lines the backroads.

Simple pleasures to freely enjoy.

  4. We were there in March, a bit too early to enjoy the bluebonnets. I'd love to see them some time when they're in full bloom - when teleportation is common. Otherwise, it's a 20 hour drive. :-)
