My worries are the early blooms on the fruit trees will be blown away. It could mean no fruit for this year, or at the very least, a reduced crop of fruit. And the moisture in the soil will be zapped up by the winds.

I guess I will fight the winds today and work outside until noon.
The afternoon will be spent in my sewing nook. I have the new skirt for the laundry room to finish.

ReplyDeleteI think you are right....I had to convince my daughter that I did not pose him for the photo. The wind actually broke him off the stake and that is exactly how he landed. He looks likes he is smiling!

ReplyDeleteHi Elaine...Looking at my Scottish clock by my computer, it must be about 2am for you. I stayed outside all day in the wind and weather. Maybe a quick shower, dinner, and then a little sewing. I will know more tomorrow how the apple trees made out. I hope you had a good day too. My tomatoes have sprouted and are now under a light in the greenhouse. Photos later...

ReplyDeleteHi Anne....Yes, I will post picture of the bluebonnets as soon as they start blooming. I think the botanical name is Lupinus Texensis (Lupine species). The entire pasture will be covered with the flowers.
