Careful Now....There's a Tree on Monday's Country Back Roads

You must admire a town that values their trees so much....
by building the road around it.

Surprisingly, there are several small towns, near where I live, that do the same thing.

It's the start of another wonderful week, dear readers.
Enjoy yourself.

  1. Love that. There's a huge oak tree around the corner from us that has been honored with a plaque.

    1. Don't you wonder how or who made the decision to keep all the trees...this town has more than a dozen located in the middle of the road.

  2. How nice of them to do that. I love trees, especially big old ones like that on your picture.

  3. I love that! We have huge old trees in the older part of town and even our new area (new builds to 20 years old area) has some that are getting to be a nice size. Unfortunately many trees were devastated by an ice storm here in Dec. 21, 2013. Many had to be replaced, removed and others are missing their tops etc. Thanks for visiting and for your kind comment on my painted barstools.

    1. It just does my heart good to see them preserved and honored by making the road go around....but, you do need to be mindful of your driving.

  11. I live in a town that is well known for having beautiful trees but none in the middle of a road like that. That is just so cool.
