The Color of Pumpkins
I couldn't resist buying these mini-pumpkins, I saw in the produce department, of the the grocery store.
While everything continues to be stacked in plastic containers, from the recent move, it almost seems absurd to be thinking about decorating.
To help keep my sanity, I have cleared one spot, in each room. I think of it as a "vignette of what is to come".
Even outside on the the porch, I have washed the windows. Look how clean....the reflections of my driveway.
Add a little fall color to the chair cushions....and it is beginning to feel like home !

Those little pumpkins are adorable. That pretty autumnal bunting and sparkling windows make the porch look somewhere I would love to sit and chat with you. I'll pop over for tea later.ReplyDelete
Isn't it amazing how happy a day becomes when looking through sparkling clean windows....tea will be ready soon!Delete
Your chair seems so comfortable.. And your new home is a warm and sweet house dear Meggie.. Very cute pumpkins...:))ReplyDelete
Thanks, Beck. It has already begun to feel like home.Delete
I love small pumpkins like that......my windows need cleaning, a job I hate......fancy a trip over? ;) xReplyDelete
Hello Suzy, come on over and have a cup of tea....or coffee, if you like!ReplyDelete
It's nice to put your own 'stamp' on things isn't it?!ReplyDelete
Hi Jane....sometimes it something as simple as clean windows and bunting!Delete
There's something about autumn decorating that's so warm and inviting! Your new home looks wonderful!ReplyDelete
Clean windows are SO nice! We've done ours, but they need it again, as the harvest grime/dust is so thick. Unpacking takes ages... I always do it in fits and starts. Some days a lot and a week can go by with nary a box touched. Hang in there - you'll get it done in time :) Meantime, go ahead and decorate a bit - it makes a house feel like home XOReplyDelete
Just a touch of Fall will make you feel so much better as you tackle those boxes!! Hugs, LindaReplyDelete
Hi Linda....A piece of pumpkin pie would also help!Delete
I'm so happy that it's beginning to feel like home. Thankyou for your kind comments - I have emailed you. xReplyDelete
Thank you, Scarlet...Delete
I think those little pumpkins make a BIG statement! And, I'm glad you're nestling in to your new home and next chapter; so happy to hear your kids urge you to keep blogging, XOXOReplyDelete
Thanks, Susan....As I pass through the dining room, I try to focus on the pumpkins...the boxes line each wall. Pumpkin Pie would be good too!Delete
Adding all those little touches is what makes a house a home!ReplyDelete
I must agree with you! The mini pumpkins are simple, but say a lot to me.Delete
How pretty - I especially love the little display of pumpkins. Will you cook them shortly... JxReplyDelete
Hello Jan...I probably won't cook these. I usually break them open and put them outside for the birds to enjoy! They seem to enjoy the treat and soon the pumpkins disappear.Delete
It all looks really pretty. The little pumpkins look so cute!ReplyDelete
Hi Anne....they just called to me too!Delete
Oh, to have windows that clean!! It's the job I never seem to get around to. Love your touches of Autumn color :)ReplyDelete
