The Odd Couple

Dance Partners
Every move my neighbor's horse made, the Cattle Egret followed.

The egret shows up in the summertime, feasting off the insects that bother the farm animals. Usually, I see flocks of them, in the pasture, with the herds of cattle. This was the first time I saw a single egret with a horse.
Hey...wait for me !!
Once, the horse stepped too quickly. You can see the egret stretched out, racing to catch up.

Two different creatures.... completely at ease in each other's company.

  2. What beautiful photos. We actually have a lot of horses in this part of Florida and enjoy seeing the cattle egret. I'm writing to let you know that I have the Traveling Susan apron and posted about it today. I am so honored to join the 'sisterhood'. Thank you so much! Sweet hugs, Diane

    1. Hello Diane....I'm so glad you have the apron. I have not been posting for a couple of weeks because of my mother's death. I will be popping over to your blog later today to have a look. Welcome to the Sisterhood!
