Romance is in the Air

What does romance have to do with a cake stand filled with grapes?

As I reached up to cut the stem on my very own grapes, thoughts rushed through my mind of Italy and the romance I dream of being on holiday there.

Did you happen to see the movie, A Walk in the Clouds ? It is a very romantic movie that includes a vineyard in Napa Valley, California. Not exactly Italy, but it is my imagination I am writing about.

These are the very first table grapes I have grown on the farm. So, I guess if it gives me a euphoric feeling to cut my grapes....I will hold on to that feeling for today!

    1. Scotland is just lovely and my hubby says we'll go back there one day--his grandfather was from Edinborough. If you go, the street before the Royal Mile to the Castle is Cockburn Street!

  6. Your grapes look wonderful - is the cake stand made of milk glass?I've always found it wonderful that nobody and nothing has ever been able to stop me from thinking, dreaming, wishing and hoping. That is a richness others may never know, and something I am very grateful for.

  18. There is something about grapes that I just love! Of course, I enjoy eating the fruit, but it's more than that...the look of a cluster of grapes brings about so many lovely thoughts. It's one of my favorite motifs! Glad you are growing your own. How wonderful!
